Welcome to your conference in Grieghallen

Here you will find helpful information to make things easier both before and during your conference – from how to get there, to food and services.

How to get to Grieghallen

Public transport

Bergen train station and the main bus station are just a 4‑minute walk from Grieghallen, with frequent departures to all parts of the city throughout the day. The light rail (Bybanen) and the airport bus also stop here if you’re arriving from Flesland.

Bergen City Bike

With a city bike, you can get around Bergen quickly and easily. You’ll find a city bike station right outside Grieghallen in Strømgaten. Parking for private bicycles is available under cover by the entrance to the Peer Gynt Hall.

Parking

If you’re arriving by car, you can park in Grieg Garasjen beneath Edvard Grieg’s Square. The entrance is from Lars Hilles gate, and the exit is on Strømgaten.

We are a sustainable venue

All our conferences are green, and we follow the Eco-Lighthouse checklist for sustainable events. We hope you’ll help us by taking a few simple steps:

  • Sort your waste – You’ll find clearly marked recycling stations throughout the venue, and we encourage you to use the right bins.
  • Keep your cup throughout the day – This helps us to reduce unnecessary resource use.
  • Take smaller portions and go back for more – A simple way to help us reduce food waste.

The food in Grieghallen

The food served at Grieghallen is prepared by De Bergenske Servering, and together we focus on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

If you have allergies or other dietary needs, we offer good alternatives to ensure you enjoy a complete meal experience.

We work actively to minimise food waste and serve sustainable dishes. All seafood on our menus comes from responsible sources and is certified according to the MSC and ASC standards.

Accessibility for everyone

Grieghallen aims to be a welcoming place for all visitors, and we have solutions in place to ensure a good experience regardless of any challenges you may have. If you need assistance, please contact one of our staff in the foyer.

Functional Diversity

Griegsalen has 16 wheelchair spaces on row 6 (ground level) by Entrance A. In the Peer Gynt Hall, seating can be adapted as needed.

Accessible restrooms are located by Entrance A in Griegsalen and in the foyer outside the Peer Gynt Hall.

Lifts

You can reach the halls via stairs or lifts in both foyers.
